Yes. My family owned a couple of them when I was around 9 years old. My dad was a big fan of Renault. I love the design, It was a really comfortable and refined car for the time.

I bet more of them survive in the mild climates of Central America than in Europe. Seeing a Renault 18 here would be a miracle!

More comfortable than the 7-series, IMO.

Yes. Also much more practical and a little more discreet.

I've always liked these old Ramblers. No good reason, never owned one, never knew anybody that owned one. The car itself looks like an upsidedown bathtub, plus it has a 95 HP sidevalve engine.

Even better:

The inside is just as surreal as the outside.

3GT? not so much tho. The 3GT is a cross between an X3 and 3 wagon that no one asked for.

Since we're on the topic of BMW - this was probably my favorite car to drive when I used to work at BMW.

i3's have my favorite interior on sale right now, too.

The i3 is not really an automobile "perversion". It's pretty well liked and a well-reviewed car.

I think the i3 is the only BMW I'd consider buying. I love how BMWs drive but the image just doesn't suit me. i3s get my geek juices flowing, however.

Grosssssssssssssssss

Turbo Sprints were kinda cool. Super lightweight little shitkickers man. The trouble today would be finding 12 inch performance tires.

I took a '90 model on a test drive back in the day. It was a hoot.

I like the ZDX from the front and the back. I really dislike the roofline, though. Impossible to not bang your head getting in and out of the rear seat.

Morris Minor

I think my most disturbing automotive perversion is an unhealthy interest in the Morris Marina. It was a such a cynical piece of shit, everything you'd expect from a government-controlled car company that was sliding down the shitter: run by clueless nincompoops in management, and Communists on the production lines. It was unreliable, crude, and obsolete from day one.  I don't know why I like it: 70's nostalgia mixed & a morbid fascination at the whole collective incompetence of British Leyland.  Maybe the same reason Germans love the Trabant.

I recently discovered that the Morris Marina was sold in the United States and Canada for a few years as an Austin model! Wow!

Not really a perversion, but I have a thing for 90s Toyota/Lexus products. They remind me of my childhood. Ditto Honda, but to a lesser extent. My roommate has a 99 Corolla I sometimes use, and I enjoy it because of the nostalgia factor.

As part of the savage cost-cutting which took place during the Morris Marina's development, British Leyland deemed producing a set of longer doors for the coupe version to be too expensive.  So, the Marina coupe simply used the front doors from the saloon, making access to the back seat extremely difficult!

And to think BL management seriously believed this car could compete with the Ford Capri!  :wtf:
