This sounds like their whole business model and brand are geared towards millennials who are used to leasing/renting their smart phones, apartments and other things.  Basically people who are too dumb to realize they're throwing money away but they don't care because they get bored of everything and never have plans to keep something for longer than a year or two.

I like the styling, the name is dumb, just shorten it to Lynk.

The biggest thought though is that this is where cars are headed. Electric to a much bigger degree, and "super feature rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" will be the norm for many of them.
