The Abarth 500 is a riot to drive but

- It has shit resale

- it's made poorly

- is too small

1. Buy used then.
2. It's not made that poorly.
3. Take it as an opportunity to de-clutter your life.

It's impossible to argue with Raza. He wins. Period. End of discussion.

IDK I'm also in a very strange place in my life. I've been tempted to sell everything I own and just fuck off out of the USA.

And to be honest, I have no real strong desire to sell the Sonic. Aside from the Civic Si, I really like my Sonic. I'm worried about eventual rust, and right now I have a few minor issues I need to fix. But it's such an engaging car; the steering is right, the ride is good, I don't really see other basic car that I feel like would be an upgrade over it.

I'm changing my vote as I just saw a sweet mini Cooper and remembered how cool they can be... Especially with the JCW package

So much better then a Civic.

So keep the Sonic: build up a cash cushion (working towards an eventual Fuck-it Fund that would allow you to walk away from a job.)

But if you really need to do something right brain & get something more engaging to celebrate "I've made it", let the left brain in a little, & think about upkeep costs and residuals - which really leads to a Civic Si or manual Accord.
