El Camino has 44,000. Probably 144k, plus it didn't have a speedo cable for a while so probably 150k

'65 Chevy has 54,445 on the clock. I really think it's only rolled over 100K once. So 154K. Engine replaced once, those old iron/carbureted engines didn't go as far as modern cars can without overhaul.

I'll try and take a picture this weekend, but I believe it is just under 9k at the moment.

My brother showed me a picture he took recently of his car (Hyundai Elantra): 80085.

That's rare. 1ZZ's like burning rings or running out of oil and blowing up. I've had four Toyota products with that engine that I've replaced.

After the recall the new ignition coils proved to be unproblematic. Looks like BMW changed their supplier for a better one! :praise:

The two foremost ignition coils were always fine, but the last two pretty much next to the "cockpit wall" were the problematic ones. Thankfully no problems after the recall.  :ohyeah:

Subie I think has 210k or so. Maybe a little less.

I think my Prelude as at 360k when I got rid of it. But it was on it's second motor (the original owner replaced it around 280k).

Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I don't think the domestics were designed to go over 100,000 miles.  I don't remember the odometer even having a 100,000 place digit in a lot of cars back then.

The most mileage I've ever put on a car was my 2007 Sonata at 135,000 miles.  I then gave it to my nephew.

My parents' 1993 Explorer had only 5 digits.  Then we moved up to a 1998 Explorer, and it had a digital odo.  Our 1997 Windstar also bumped up to 6 analog digits.

My dad used to change cars at least every three years. Rust was the main problem.
