Looking forward to a cheap 430 Spyder 6MT to replace the Z4.

It's impossible to argue with Raza. He wins. Period. End of discussion.

Odometer rollback is a felony in the US, besides being incredibly unethical.  I'm honestly shocked that a US dealership would do this even if Ferrari told them to or that it was OK to do.

Ouch.

How would Ferrari itself benefit from being complicit in such activity?

Keeping resale values high keeps customers happy.  Happy customers buy more Ferraris.

yes and no. They first reported it a year ago but recently learned Ferrari knew/ gave ok for dealerships to do it.

Are odometers legally required in the US? Ferrari should just get rid of them. Have a "service due now" message on the OBC.

I can't find anything that says they are actually.

Lots of stuff about odometer disclosures and tampering laws, and recording the mileage correctly on documents; but nothing I can find actually says "must be equipped."
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

It's even more insidious than that. Ferrari severely restricts the sale of new vehicles to first-time owners. It's really benefiting the incestuous Ferrari faithful to the significant detriment of new customers.

Not surprising giving how scummy a company it is, but yeesh!

Neither of us is 100% right (but I'm righter). Its actually a Modena Spyder; not a kit car of any sort, but a car built up on a tube chassis running a 289 Ford engine. There are MGB tail lights, but the windshield and front cowl are Fiat 2000 (the roadster, not the heavy tank)

So is the Ferrari dealer putting these cars up on jack stands, popping them in reverse, and leaving a brick on the accelerator to roll those miles off?
