So they would be closer to race cars then for example the GT3 R cars are to GT3 street cars? Kinda like the Mclaren F1 back in the day?

The Mclaren F1 was made to be a road car and converted to race later.

This is a little more in line with a homologation road car, road cars made from race cars, rather than race made from road cars.







Toyota has made a road going version of the TSO20 lemans racer, unfortunately they only made one.
