I think it looks pretty nice, but it could stand to be a bit lower to the ground.

Yup.  It looks too upright.
That is a rather interesting thing for a Discovery owner to say ;)

Upright but styled to look otherwise doesn't quite work. Imagine if the Discovery had the same basic shape, but the curves of a Taurus.

Well, I like the look of my discovery more.  Its not pretending to be some good handling SUV.  Its a brute, and its meant for off road.  I actually think it looks quite handsome, and not too upright even.

Thats basically what I am saying...its not pretending to be a curvy car and all.
