112kWh, 520mi per charge.. but the efficiency is what gets me excited, 4.6mi/kWh. It's a big executive car with a big set of batteries and yet the economy numbers are as good as a Chevy Bolt. The Tesla Model 3 only gets 4.1mi/kWh!

Dat high voltage (800+V or at least twice that of Tesla).

$170k though.

Lucid actually delivering cars to customers?

https://insideevs.com/news/544466/lucid-air-dream-edition-rally/

Can't tell if this is similar to Rivian where they are delivering cars to employees first before external customers.

Bump.  They're not doing too well.

"The company, backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, Public Investment Fund, delivered 4,369 cars in 2022, far below the 7,180 units it produced."

Probably the wrong car for these economic times. Around these parts the Model S is too common now, the Lucid is the tech EV flex. Many tech folks have income, not wealth, and the income isn't looking as secure these days.

None of the EV startups will make it on their own - too normal, too boring, too little drama, zero I'm-a-cool-kid halo effect.

I'm not sure Tesla sold a lot of Model S either in 2022.  It's hard to justify its increased price compared with a Model 3 or Model Y.  It's a better car but is it 50 grand better?

Lucid is too expensive in a body style most Americans don't want (large sedan).

I actually saw a Lucid here this evening.  About shat my pants.

I also saw a Tesla Model X with Manufacturer plates, and still cannot figure out what was going on there.  The plates looked old, almost like the plates predated the Model X, and the guy transferred them to this new car?  Still baffled.

I saw a video where some engineers put a Lucid up on a lift, took off the shrouds & had a look underneath. Lucids are not engineered for assembly: lots and lots of components, joint nodes, welds & fastenings. Very labor intensive, time consuming & expensive to assemble. Lovely car though.

This is surprising, the hospital parking lots around here have a bunch of them. My friend's dad just bought one, it's sweet.

I've only gazed in through windows but they do look awesome on the inside.
