Not quite that loud
Great looking "old school" bike, especially in Black.

It's pretty old school. Single cylinder 650. They produced it essentially unchanged from 1986 to 2019.
A classic, congrats!
It looks great!

Totally. But I need to clean the carburetor out before I can ride it. It is sputtery from evil ethanol.

Now you'll just need to fabricate a sidecar and you'll be all set to ride in the snowy weather...

Oh wow, that actually looks like a Suzuki Savage with a side car.

Good, thank you.
Very busy at my new job, so not as much around as I prefer, unfortunately!
Savages are dirt bikes, apparently.

Nice!
I'm not sure if I can ride SAVAGE like that. I'm a little rusty.
I have already collected a pile of SAVAGE parts.
Carb rebuild kit
Petcock
Fuel lines
Oil, fuel and air filters
Oil
Tool bag
And the most exciting thing:
New handlebars
Oh, and I went to the DMV and got the plate already. Got into a yelling match with the DMV security guard while I was there because he said I was driving too fast in my Jeep. Well, the rear end is locked so the tires chirp, dumbfuck , but I got it done.
So excited to ride. Don't even care if it's winter.
I haven't had a motorcycle since I bought my last house in 2015. I'm fucking noob now. Damn.
Always liked that bike. They can be modified into a real beauty, you know.

I've seen that cafe kit before. I mostly like SAVAGE the way it is. I just got some straighter handlebars because I don't like the swept back chopper ones.
Hmmm

Want to ride SAVAGE today. But snow.
Just gotta send it

no more snow, just cold with rain sprinkles
salt trucks already brined the roads
yuck
my chrome will get dirty
Thinking about planning an Iron Butt Challenege. 1000 miles in 24 hours.
SAVAGE Today
Replaced front brake pads and brake fluid.
Rode SAVAGE back and forth in the shop.
Used SAVAGE as mobility device to inspect vehicles and ensure customer satisfaction.

Is that a picture of you on SAVAGE?
After fiddling with some things and putting in an LED headlight bulb, I took SAVAGE for a spin. After about 0.03 miles, I decided it was too damn cold to ride without a helmet.
Did a bit of SAVAGE work, today. Got a RAM phone mount for the handlebar. Not cheap, but high quality and a snap to use.. Mounted a USB power socket on the handlebar, which doubles as a connection for the battery trickle charger.

I ordered some heavy duty rear coil overs from Progressive Suspension. Should lift the rear end 1-1.5 inches. More cornering clearance, ground clearance, and load capacity. Coming soon.
Also got some saddle bags and universal brackets. Welding required. Shits gonna be mad tyte.
SAVAGE now has heavy duty rear shocks, dirt bike handlebars, and Vans shoe grips. No pics yet. Grip glue is still drying.
This thing is legit a totally different bike.

So damn sexy now
I'm going to mount some 50 cal ammo cans for saddle bags. Actual hard bags are stupid expensive, and nobody makes them for SAVAGE. It will be necessary to relocate the rear turn signals, so I'll probably just put them on the boxes.
Make sure you pin the hinges so the lids don't fall off. (many people don't realize they're removable until too late)

I'll weld the hinges
After I bolt on the ammo cans and a mini windscreen, I might get a cushy seat cover. I think that will be just about it for SAVAGE. It will be ready to go across the country.
Ammo canz

Thanks.
I'm not thrilled about the cheap LED turn signals that I got from Amazon, but they work.
Nicely done.
Quality fab!
I rode SAVAGE a couple hours today.
I went up to Springfield, MA and bought my first legal cannabis.
I don't know when I'm going to smoke it. It just wanted to exercise my legal right under one state's law.
:rastaman:
After my long ride, SAVAGE decided to start leaking oil out the clutch cover. I could tell because the engine started rattling when the oil got low.
I guess I have to fix that.
Motorcickle.

What is that, like a 1979?
After another 90 mile highway trip, it is very apparent that SAVAGE is not made for interstate cruising. It doesn't have the power and the vibrations are butt-numbing. And the engine starts to rattle or ping. I can't tell exactly because of other noises, but I'll try an octane booster.
SAVAGE could use a little shot of nitrous oxide. Yeah?
You want to be careful where that piston ends up.

I rode SAVAGE out to THE CAPE this morning. Nice ride. Hardly any traffic.
Sold.
Now I have money for something.
