Title: Get a ding on your battery's protective cover, lose your warranty

Absolute and utter BS.

While it's just one story of a guy who got screwed over, it points out the frustration to me of having a dealership intermediary between the manufacturer (who provides the warranty) and the customer. Knock on wood I've had a great trouble free experience with our Kia EV6 (12 thousand miles on the odometer in 5 months). If my battery cover were to get scratched, I won't take it to the dealer and instead put some sort of autobody repair tape on it.

I saw an Ioniq 5 in the grocery store parking lot yesterday: it made everything else look old & tired. I love the look of the thing.
