Indeed. I find it very difficult not to lane split - it is like a survival/efficiency instinct that forces me to do so, despite its legal status. The prospect of a road rager trying to squeeze me between two cars or opening their door in my path (both have happened) is far less deadly than getting rear ended.

Dude was calm as fuck. I can think of a lot of thinks to say after being rear ended like that, and none of them are "yeah, I'm OK."
