LOLS- Idiot spins a Tesla 3 at 130mph

Highlights:
-just after start calls Wendover "a hole"
- :45 lame music for a run up to 154mph
- 2:00 starts another run
- 2:40 starts to spin and drives like a tard

:pullover: Clickbait alert  :pullover: He's down to 70 or 80 by the time he really starts to spin, and it kinda looks like he did that intentionally.

He could definitely be a lot more idiotic though. He was smart enough to go to a safe place to do it and didn't panic and overcorrect like most people probably would.

The acceleration on those things is still pretty mind blowing, especially with such little noise to go with it.

If I were thrown into a high-speed slide on like a frozen lake or other large, slippery surface, I may have just rode it out like he did, too.  Sometimes trying to correct a big, gentle slide will put you in a worse position (or at least more hectic one) than just riding it out and letting the vehicle come to its own rest.

I've never driven on salt, though.

Yeah, the more I watch it, the more I think he actually knows what he's doing lol. But I've also never driven on salt so I'm no expert.

CaminoRacer

No, he doesn't.

They also think that salt flat racing is oval track racing?

Yeah, was kinda wondering why he was talking about an oval...?

From the way its been described, its a lot like a well packed crushed gravel drive, but a lot slippier once you start to slide.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Biggest concern then would be side-slapping a nice deep rut.

Yeah, at speed that could flip you real quick.

Notice that the stability control shut down either during or directly after the slide.

Watched it a couple more times.

He loses the rear end at 138. A moment later, some sort of notification pops up on the screen. Its too small for me to read. Nice to know that even in the event of a spin at 130 MPH, the warning notices don't take up too much screen space to let you still have the stupid thumbnail of album cover from the Top Gun soundtrack unobstructed.

Yeah, basically. They prep a couple of sections of straightaways for the land speed runs, but the Tesla driver wasn't on those. So he probably hit a rut/bump which caused the rear end to lose grip.

More like super compact sand. And yes it's retarded to go this fast on a section you haven't surveyed first.

The car did well though.
Putting music on was lame.
Putting on a hackneyed, clichéd track from a 30-year-old movie was double-lame.

I wonder if he knows how much effort it takes to clean the salt off. Hopefully the electronics are well-protected.

Coilovers was away all design sins. Very nice that it only takes 18s to fill the wells.

Just saw an article headline saying "Model 3 embarrassing Mustang and BMW 3/4 series", talking about sales numbers.

Wait, so you're saying that a highly anticipated car that had 400k deposits and isn't available on the used market is able to beat well-established cars that have been available for sale for decades and the majority of people who want one can get one without waiting, either new or used?? Shocking!

Is it stuck?

I think the springs broke.  Or maybe the front wheel is wedged on the fender?
