The hatch still looks better (I am biased) but in blue and with these new AMG wheels the sedan looks pretty sweet. Love the AMG treatment of the interior and digital tachometer graphics.

This car is going to be available in America.

2020 Mercedes-AMG 35 Junior Performance Sedan Has 302 HP, Does 0-60 In 4.7 Sec

We knew it was coming and here it is; the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4Matic. The German car manufacturer says it will target younger buyers with the A 35 Sedan, much like its hatchback sibling.

Like the hatchback, the A 35 Sedan is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 302 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. All of this power is sent to the ground courtesy of an AMG Speedshift 7G dual-clutch transmission and advanced 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The A 35 Sedan can hit 96 km/h (60 mph)in 4.7 seconds and tops out at a limited 250 km/h (155 mph).

Much like the hatchback, the new Mercedes-AMG A 35 Sedan can be differentiated from other A-Class Sedan models thanks to some sporty components. Among these changes include a front splitter with silver chrome trim elements and a set of 18-inch alloy wheels. Mercedes-AMG also outfits the car with the AMG Line side skirts, a trunk lid lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and dual tailpipes.

Customers can tweak the exterior of the A 35 Sedan to their taste through the AMG Aerodynamics Package and AMG Night Package, the first of which includes some small aero add-ons. As for the AMG Night Package, it incorporates black design elements. 19-inch alloy wheels are also optional.

Inside, the punchy sedan comes equipped with the latest AMG steering wheel that incorporates a flattened lower section and a perforated leather grip area. There is also red contrasting topstitching and galvanized steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Additionally, there is also a small selectable drive programme controller mounted to the wheel. Elsewhere, the A 35 Sedan comes complete with the same MBUX infotainment system as all latest-generation A-Class models. This system combines a fully digital gauge cluster with a large infotainment screen.

Drivers will have five selectable drive programmes at their fingertips; Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport +, and Individual. These different modes alter key parameters including the response of the engine and transmission. Most of these modes speak for themselves with Individual perhaps being the most interesting. This mode allows drivers to select individual parameters to suit their preferences.

Helping to ensure the sedan can brake just as well as it accelerates, Mercedes-AMG has fitted 4-piston monoblock fixed calipers with 350 mm discs at the front. The rear incorporates single piston calipers and 330 mm discs.

The Mercedes-AMG A35 Sedan can also be optioned with the AMG Ride Control system, allowing drivers to switch between three suspension configurations. This system operates automatically and adapts the damping forces for each wheel according to driving and road conditions.

No announcement has been made about when the A 35 Sedan will hit dealerships or how much it will cost. We expect to see it premiere at the New York Auto Show.
