Oh yeah, I miss the days when Ford thought that naming cars with common suffixes would shore up their shitty sales. Why didn't we get a Freestang?

I got a Freescort, once. I think I paid too much.

Minivans. Efficient, car-like, but dumpy and weak
Maybe I should focus on a real VAN. IMHO, Ford Econolines are the best VANs. I'd prefer model year 1997+ with the 4.6 V8 and cruise control

Are you going to drive around offering small children feee rides home, too?

The '02 E-250 that I had was great. It just needed some sound insulation, because cargo vans are loud metal boxes.  Even the 4.2 V6 wasn't bad, but I'd rather go V8 if I bought another one.

I have no idea why, but the work van of choice here (N. Georgia Mountains) is the Chevy Express. I don't see too many many Econolines (or Transits for that matter)

I like the GM powertrain, but I do not like the coachwork and chassis of the Express/Savanna.

You should buy an old Econoline conversion van and name it ShagginWagon.

I feel like that has been done before. A conversion van would be nice, though.

I'm looking at a 2013 E250 ... to trade for Fiesta ... :mask:

Plan 75.3
Sell all current inventory
Have a 2013 E250.
Find some beater that does better than 17 MPG to drive to work.

Side hustle idea: use VAN to run uShip deliveries.

Ford Fiesta resale values have plummeted way faster than my loan balance. This is slightly inconvenient.

Rebuild engine.  Moar pwr.

Remove dump.  Build camper.

I want less power, more torque, more gears, more noise, and more air conditioned doge space.

That van has the largest suicide knob I have ever seen.

I would love beast van, but 4.10 gears and a 3 speed is shit for highway trips.

Back to wanting a Venture/Montana. They are the lightest weight minivan, even lighter than a Mazda MPV. Ventures are generally simple and easy to service, pooprod 3400,  4T65 tranny is usually good, and I like solid real beam suspension for VANs. I might want to overload it or tow something stupid. I know, intake gaskets, blah blah blah, but they are otherwise just as reliable and subpar as a Caravan or Fureestar. I want something that I can sleep in with the engine idling and I won't die from CO.

BimmerM3

mini-mini-van?

It has slidey doors, so I count it.

Eye of the Tiger

In lieu of a van, keeping Dakota?
It needs just a little bit more power.
Engine loses power when hot, and I think because the exhaust manifold is so close to the intake.
I might do a heat wrap on the manifold. No big deal. Also,  Jet performance module #90017 may be of further assistance. It's a good truck.

If I get a little 6x12 enclosed trailer, I could tow it with Dakota and make money doing uShip. Theoretically.

I drove around with my fancy scanner and found out that both the crankshaft position sensor and intake air tempersture sensor signals occasionally drop out. This may explain random sluggishness. I can fix this. Is good truck.

A short Chevy Express 2500 with the 6.0 is such a better idea than an E-250 5.4. But the Ford is more comfortable to me.
