Title: Mazda CX-9
Post by: 2o6 on December 06, 2015, 04:16:02 PM
I'm super surprised this was never posted here.

Gorgeous, if a bit expected.

Interior looks absolutely tremendous. Only real complaint is that the shifter seems really close to the HVAC dials.

You're insane.

It looks like a big 3, which is a terrible looking car what with that protuberance front end. Current CX-9 looks a million times better:

Looks light years better than the latest Honda Pilot.  I've noticed several out on the streets and they are awkward looking.

Agreed. Just looks like a big minivan bubble on stilts.

Not crazy about the styling, but that interior looks amazing.

It looks nice and promising. And Mazda seems like the sort of automaker that would learn from its previous disaster with a turbocharged crossover.

It should be fine when the car is in Drive. It's pretty common for them to be obscured in Park.

I love Mazda but this looks awkward inside and out. The rear looks nice, but the headlights are too small and the grille is way too big. The HVAC vents and controls look really low on the dash, and then you have a ton of empty room before you get to the stuck on screen (which I hate in the 3 and Miata as well).

Interior looks great, but unsure how practical it is.

Love the exterior.

Will look much different from the driver's seat.

I like it - but not convinced that the little 4-banger won't be overworked lugging it around.

Explorer gets around just fine

Also, the 3.6L in the GM crossovers are strangely Japanese in their power delivery; it's all up top

You're right, the looks are expected, but good.  I like it.  Can't ever see a reason for me to have one, way too big.  CX-5 would already be more than enough for me.

Although, I'll have to say it looks very sophisticated and upscale, inside and out, for a car that will cost around $30,000.

I do see what Cougs means though, the proboscis on Mazdas is a bit ungainly.  Isn't it some European regulation to stem the epidemic mass slaughter of pedestrians too stupid to get out of the way?

No, it's just not packaged well.
