Title: Lack of parking law overturns drug conviction
Post by: ifcar on May 08, 2012, 10:27:56 PM
Perp parks across two parking spots. Cop ends up searching him, finds drugs.

QuoteThe court reversed the conviction, finding that ?the officer who detained appellant in the parking lot did so under the mistaken belief that there was a statutory provision which made it illegal to park one?s vehicle straddling a line of the pavement. This was a mistake of law.?

This belongs in the Bad Parking Hall of Shame.

I say let him go for the drugs but beat him senseless for taking two spaces!  :ohyeah:
