$250 for stage 1 computa chiiiiip. Worth +3 HP on Dakota? Or, $87 for shorty exhaust header. Worth +3 HP?

Or just leave it the way it is $0.

That would be illogical. Logic dictates a never ending quest for more horsepower, even in a hopeless 2.5 liter tractor engine.

Nope, I know what I want. Isuzu Rodeo, but with autotragic, and lame 2wd would be fine. Grate dog car, can sleep in back, nice build quality all around, and easy to service.

Rodeos can tow 4500#, even with puny 4L30E. S10 Blazer can only tow 3500# with 4L60E. 4L30 will probably explode, though.

Well, I had to grease Dakota's clutch pedal today. I guess I can't afford that stage 1 chip now.

#670
Trailblazers. Good used one is $3000. Can tow over 6000#. Mostly easy to service, but the timing chains on the 4.2 are stupid. Otherwise, is good engine. Interior quality is dumpy, but fine for a doge car.

Ok, back to Grand Cherokees. 4.7 V8, 2wd, lowered and tuned for road handling.
It's not like there is an actual V8 RWD wagon that I can pickup for under 2 grand.

In the mean time, I have acquired a 1/4" NPT plug to take the place of the IAT sensor on Dakota's intake manifold. The sensor will be relocated and mounted in a 1/4" NPT male adapter expoxied to the air filter box lid.
I have monitored the IAT while driving, and the heat soaking from the exhaust manifold causes readings over 130°F.

Won't bolt to AX15. Needs transmission, too.

Does the 4.7 bolt in?  There is a supposedly heavily rebuilt and solid 4.7!in my area for $500.

Junk. No dice. But a 4.0 inline 6 from a Jeep would bolt up.

Anyway, a second gen Prius has adequate space to sleep in back, and have doge space. Very MPG.

This is what happens when you try to do stuff with no garage, while it is raining:

You put the IAT sensor in the one place that it can't go, because that's where the washer bottle is. So you have to move the sensor over, and use the old one to plug the hole.

This is a bad idea, not just because the 4.7 is a piece of shit, but so is the 45RFE transmission that only uses 4 or 5 of its 6 speeds. I'd rather have the 4.0 AMC tractor engine with a 42RE slushbucket.

You didn't think that it was a bad idea after you yourself told me that the 4.7 was horrible?

Somehow, replacing the heater hoses has caused a funny buzz in my dashboard around 2500 RPM. Or maybe it's because I switched to synthetic oil.

Advance your timing and dilute your gas with used cooking oil.
