Title: It lives!
Post by: SargeMonkey on August 02, 2005, 02:01:34 AM
I finaly got that civic running, and it needs an oil change, a little wite smoke. Ran for about 30 seconds and died, we got it running for about ten minuets, sucks air, and my dad dumped about 3 cups of gas in the carb, its still there. I do need to adjust the carb, maybe the timing, and fix some air leaks, did you know that carb kits don't come with a manifold gasket?

So, a carb is between 150 and 489, so I can get one if needed and tires are $100 for 100k touring whatever that means.

Nah, I like that truck, but the car has the californian emmisions carb, so that means less power, but it won't run with a diff carb, I used Fc Products (http://www.fcproducts.com) and it was 159.99 plus 10.00 S&H. So it goes from 63hp new to what ~40hp after 26 years? It will take one week for a rebuilt one to be built then 4-5 days to ship it, then I need to learn how to drive a stick, and after sept. 1st I can take my drivers test.
