Whaaaaaaaaat.

Just taking a moment to post that the Accord still passes etests, and then a jab at the Toyota fiasco because the pedal actually does stick a little just off idle.

:praise:

And yours actually has a cable going between it and the engine.  You could probably adjust that.

Its the pedal pivot point inside the car at the firewall. I'm just too lazy to do anything about it.

Must be fun stopping at stoplights, eh?

What, do you drive the Accord during the winter and the RSX during summer month(s)?

In gear its barely noticeable unless I'm trying to coast. As I put the clutch in to stop I've been giving the pedal a little sideways kick to get it to drop to normal idle lol...

Yeah, I've been alternating. Usually I'll drive the Accord at least once a week when the weather is nicer to keep it moving. In the winter the RSX sits longer than that depending on how much salt they've been throwing down, but I do drive it during the winter.

The Accord has got 432,000kms on it now. The body isn't too bad, but definitely showing some rust now. There are no bad rust areas structurally though. Mechanically, something is worn out up front in the suspension, it could use new front brakes, etc... Its one big ticket item away from being parked.

It looks like I'm inheriting my brothers '03 Legacy Wagon soon, so that will become my new beater unless I decide to trade it on something a little more me.

Hmm..  An '03 beater?  I'm not too hip on the idea, myself.  ;)

lol... It is kinda new for that eh.

My brother drives a lot though and he doesn't exactly take care of his stuff. It has probably close to 180,000kms on it and is well "weathered".

Not that it matters because I get it for free (bit of a long story) and its a 5spd.

Exactly, and what business is it of mine, right?

Well its not a secret or anything, just didn't think anyone would care.

The Legacy actually belongs to my dad. He just put $3000 into it after my brother slid it into a curb (new wheel, 4tires, drivers front suspension bits).

Most people would take that as a sign that my brother should stay away from a nicer vehicle. My dad on the other hand got the idea that my brother should have a newer car. That car would be an '07 Volvo V70.
(My dads been on a Volvo kick since he bought his S60R)

He's heavily subsidizing the purchase of this $30,000 used Volvo for my brother. I voiced my opinion on that once and then bit my lip.

The Subaru is only worth about $6000-$7000, so he would never recover the cost of the repairs if he traded/sold it now. At least if I put some kms on it, it will lessen the sting.

(I hit a curb hard and broke stuff on the first car I owned. 1997. But it was a 14yr old Civic hatchback, my dad sold it to me for $600.)

And how old is your brother?!

Chronologically, 28.

Consider yourself warned:

He actually makes ok money considering what he does, but not enough to afford the lifestyle that my dad has been subsidizing for him.

My dad is basically living vicariously through my brother since he would have loved to do nothing but music.

Now, do I go in and correct that for him, simply let him know, or do nothing?

Am I allowed to make comments about his music without violent repercussions coming my way?
