Title: Do 295 50R21 tires exist?
Post by: Submariner on July 02, 2023, 09:50:35 PM
Can't seem to find anything anywhere.  Is there really nothing in 295 50 R21?

Without checking, that reads like a really weird size.

That's a wide tire, but with a big side wall.  But then it's mounted on a 21" wheel? :wtf:

From what I can see, tire sizes for 21 inch wheels are mostly low profile sporty tires. You can get a 275/55R21 tire that is essentially the same diameter but I only see one tire in that size.

How about 285/45?

'Tis why I optioned the SQ5 with the 20" wheels - 21" tires are whack hard to find.

Yeah, tell me about it.  I've found exactly one tire that sort of fits the bill: 315 45R21.  If I had known ahead of time I would have looked for 20" wheels.  I never thought I'd say this but the ride on the G-class has somewhat spoiled me.

It's not too late to buy 20" wheels, as long as they clear the brakes.

Continental has a good set in 315 45R21.  Might end up going with those.  The ride sucks on such thin sidewalls.  The G wagon on its 40 year old suspension soaks up bumps better than a modern GLS with air bags, adaptive dampers, etc.

I've seen some people around here with low profile BFG AT tires on their trucks with seem to fit that size description in my head

That size is what 32-33" in off-road tire sizing
