Z06 haters got an easter egg here. Pretty good watch, might watch it again on the big screen at home.

I saw an ATS V coupe yesterday. All white. Brand spankin new. Looked pretty slick. Much better than the disgusting CTS V coupe.

Yes they did! SMH! And the reasons (In the magazine article) they gave for placing the CTS-V lower seemed like BS to me!

Bad gas? Yeah, I don't buy that. Sure, F/I cars will be more sensitive to octane/quality but M/T says all cars were filled from the same source. But then again the CTS-V had no issues mentioned and since it's ~600 lbs heavier it should in theory be more prone to overheating (and in fact I've yet to see it reported anywhere).

Some tests, and some more strenuous such as C&D's Lightening Lap (esp. this year with temps approaching 100F), mention no problems and the Z06 then goes on to rock star performance. It's also pretty easy to design a proper cooling system so something is fishy. It's not gas and I don't buy that it is cooling problems.

Maybe they gave the Z06 free will. "Nah, I dont feel like giving it my all today"

Seems like GM has been having bad luck with their press Corvettes.  Unfortunate, because the car is a beast.

And kudos to MB with the GT-S.  The car is the full package.  Amazing how good it is after the lackluster SLS.

I was sitting in traffic today next to a new Z06 with the Z07 aero package.  Bad ass car, but the aero package looks silly.  Looks like somebody just bolted tupperware to it.

I wouldn't order the Z07 package if I was buying a Z06. Mine wouldn't spend much (if any) time in a track anyway!

i think the car had really been beat on! In the magazine they mention that the car had worn out brake pads also.

Turns out C&D had this exact Z06 on Lightening Lap (which ran fine with no heat soak issues in 90F+ heat) but they ran it off the course and messed up some stuff and the car wasn't repaired properly (something to do with the intercooler).
