That's a pretty '70s color for 1986. I mean, it may be period correct, may even be kinda cool in a kitschy sort of way, but damn it really is just ugly.
I always liked the early Toyota FJ series vehicles and the Nissan Patrol. That particular vehicle posted would look most natural in zebra stripes.
To my knowledge they were also license-produced in Brazil as the Toyota Bandeirante and were available with a 78-horsepower 3.4-l 4-cylinder Mercedes-Benz Diesel.
Yep, it was a copy of the BJ series, and earlier ones had the Mercedes diesel. They switched to Toyota motors at some point in the '80s.
