Title: Chinese EVs in the USA
Post by: Laconian on February 26, 2024, 03:09:03 AM
There has been a lot of press recently about the imminent arrival of Chinese EVs in the US, potentially by way of Mexico.

I've read a number of reviews and the cars sound impressive now. More to the point they are better targeted at low end niches while US carmakers waste their time with 1%er boondoggles like the Hummer EV and cancel desirable and accessible cars like the Bolt. BYD is targeting every wallet, it seems.

The opinion "America is best at everything" is woefully outdated and we will get crushed if we don't step it up.

Aren't the Volvo EVs already sold in the U.S. already Chinese EVs?
