Thought of this last night. I'll kick it off:
- Lexus
- Hyundai
- Land Rover
- Ford
- Toyota
- Kia
I'm assuming this is a bit more complicated than "they're auto companies?"
Toyota owns Lexus.
Hyundai owns Kia.
Ford owns Land Rover.
Is that what you're going for?

No. All six have something in common.
They're all a nightmare to work on?
The typical owners can't drive?
They're the most-made-in-America brands in America you cam buy.
Okay, a hint. I considered putting Infiniti on the list. But there was a piece missing.
Badges?

Flippin Ovaltine! The glass is round. The jar is round. They should call it Roundtine.
Oval shaped badges?

They were all built on the same Type Four Platform. Where's the Alfa Romeo 164? It should also be there!

Yes you're right but I was thinking of the Italdesign/Giugiaro body... basically the same body. The Alfa 164 had a different body. My Dad had a fully-optioned Saab 9000 which he dearly loved.
Lancia put a Ferrari V8 engine in the Thema 8:32. That was an interesting car - rare as hens teeth.

And it needed a new timing chain every 20,000 km. Now that's annoying maintenance. :tounge:

Why didn't Subaru make the cut?
Something to do with Cosworth?

Harris Mann.
He worked at Ford UK and was involved in the design of the Escort (& the Capri.)
At the dreaded British Leyland the TR7 was all his.

Ah! My first thought was that the TR7 probably used the Ford Escort rear lights or something...
This is fun. MORE! ;)

They each had V4 engines.

Yup. When I was a kid one of my uncles had a Saab 96 - with the Cologne version of the Ford V4. Another uncle, his brother had a Lancia Fulvia Coupe with its narrow-angle V4. That engine was a gem. The Ford engine, not so much.
Noble M400
Mazda6
Lincoln LS
Too easy!

You can talk smack about the Tempo, but you can't touch this Mercury Topaz XR5 Coupé!
