Title: "Klamath police now enforcing speed limits"
Post by: SargeMonkey on August 02, 2006, 02:32:18 AM
I guess that untill a week ago most cops let people speed by, well not anymore. The main street near my house has a speed limit of 25mph, the average speed was around 35 through there. Today I saw no less than 8 people get tickets.  In a span of 2 hours. For the longest time cops in Klamath falls have manly just stopped "suspiciuos" people, we have drug probs. So dark windows, missing plate, any exuse to pull someone over but speeding. But now the department needs to increase its revenue so I guess they are now meeting ticket quotes.
:pullover:  So no more speeding in Klamath Falls oregon.  :pullover:

Wow, that is lame. I think they should give a couple MPH buffer at least. But its better than speed cameras.

Their rule is 5 your fine 10 your mine. But on a street with a limit of 25 were people do 35-40 they give alot of tickets. I can't speed in my truck, it won't let me.

You still will never get pulled over for speeding in Downtown Chicago. And a lot of other metropolitan areas for that matter.

I watched 3 people get hit by a speed trap today. All within about 30 minuets. 1 F350 1 BMW something and a semi tractor.

We're not even a true metro area and it seems like in town, anything goes. Until you hit another car or pedestrian, anyway.
