Title: American Goodness for Sale in Germany
Post by: cawimmer430 on July 11, 2014, 08:45:16 AM
Just some scans of what classic [mostly] American cars are for sale in a local magazine. '70s, baby. '70s!

I wonder if I could make any money acting as an export agent for some of these cars? If you Krauts are going nuts for them, I'll happily feed your adictions.

Anyways, I saw this today and immediately thought of you, Christian.

White on white '73 T-Bird; I remember it mostly as the car of the doomed arsonist "T-Bird" from "The Crow," but this one is sadly lacking in old school forced induction and is the wrong color.

There's definitely a market for old school American classic cars in several European nations, notably The Netherlands, Germany and Norway (from what I know).

That '73 Thunderbird is gorgeous! I want one.

Shot a '74 Thunderbird way back. Work of art.

That looks just like my dad's old '74 T-Bird except the vinyl roof and side trim was also red.

Awful car in every conceivable way.  He junked it in 1981.  Good riddance, too!

But the DESIGN was and still is world class. A work of art.

That sounds horrible. Automatic trans, horrible styling, and an engine so anemic it could be outrun by a new Mirage.

Wow! A diesel-powered "Bustle-Back" Seville! Gorgeous.

This is car design.
