Yes, sir.

This is indeed the Venice of Portugal, Aveiro. Likw pretty much all of Portugal, it is a very agreeable place. The boats are called "Molicieros" and they historically were used to harvest seaweed, which is used as a fertiliser on the local farm lands. They are very eye catching and now attract tourists. Several of them are now redeployed to take tourists around the canals of the city.
