It's not somewhere I believe I've been to, and so am struggling here.

I'm inclined to think it might be German, and the river could be the Donau (Danube)........ but am pretty sure it's not Nuernberg or Regesnburg (i've been to both), and research suggests it's not Passau.

Nope, not the Donau, but this river is a tributary of the Donau. It's also not Regensburg and N?rnberg.

So unless it is a minor river, it is the Inn or the Isar, then......not that this helps with the location identification!

Pretty sure it's not Ingolstadt. I've been there - and not just to the Audi Forum, but also the town as well.

Innsbruck is in Austria, and Wimmer said it is in Germany........ I am struggling to think of any other famous places on the Inn that are in Germany!
