Awesome! A marque I didn't know about powered by one of my favorite early powerplants! A french style rotary- never knew they were ever on anything but airplanes.

Yeah, that rotary engine is wild.

shp4man

The aircraft ones had only two throttle settings- on and off. For their time, they were light and powerful. I read that the Fokker triplane could actually hang on it's prop, quite a stunt for a WWI plane.

Man it would be cool to put a modern turbocharged 4 cylinder engine, modern 6 speed trans and rear axle in this.  :ohyeah: If i only had the cash. It's a clean '52 MG with engine issues...

Did not know you need to "unlock" the wheels with the ignition key to remove them or that the 959 has a crawl gear.

+1. Or the adjustable suspension.

I watched TFLT quick review of the new Ranger as they drove it around the LA Convention Center. Meh. Not super impressed yet.

Well, no motor in it, so.ya.

I'm thinking the power train from a 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang. 310 HP . Hopefully, the MG frame could take the torque stresses. Weight balance would be good. Modern tires and brakes would make it handle nice.

Buy a Brand New Old Ford Bronco

This Company Can Now Sell You a Brand New Old Ford Bronco

Gateway Bronco, an Illinois-based company known for restoring first-generation Broncos, recently announced that it's reached an agreement with Ford to officially sell brand new 1966-'77 Broncos. These won't be restomods, either. Thanks to the Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act of 2015, Gateway is able to legally build its continuation Broncos from the ground up.

So, 6 digits in the price tag, but does it start with 1 or 2?

QuoteCustomers will have their choice of three different models, each priced between $120,000 and $180,000.

Though admittedly unclear if that 180k is the base price for the top model, or max price. I suppose it could potentially go up over 200k if there are enough add ons offered.

That's still a hard pill to swallow.

Depends on how much money you have in the first place. For plebes like you and I it's not so much a pill as it is a suppository.

I mean, first gen Broncos are worth real money now, but even the best original/museum quality restoration is only worth like $40k.

There's a picture of Gerard Butler in front of his burnt out house with a burnt out 1st gen Bronco in the background.  He can buy a new one now.

A guy I new in the small town we just moved from had a military version of a 1st gen Bronco that used galvanized steel and was rust free.  He wanted $16 grand for it about 10 years ago.  I really wish I had bought it then.

These do come with restomod parts, though. At first I thought it was all original style stuff, in which was asking that much is ridiculous. This really isn't any different than ICON. High level restomods use all new parts and stuff. This is just starting from scratch instead of taking a used vehicle and tossing all the old bits in the trash.

Driving my mom's FWD based X1. So it's not as fun or as good to drive as the 3, but it's a good car in its own right. I'm warming up to it.

This could be cool:

https://www.engadget.com/amp/2018/12/07/fluoride-battery-breakthrough-evs/

Isn't fluoride also way more available in the world too? I.e. extra good for the environment since we could cut down on lithium mining?

The E84 wasn't very good IMO.

It was sharp to drive, but bad at everything else
