Just after laying off "more than 10%" of its global workforce, Tesla is laying off even more employees – including senior executives and long-time veterans of the company, most notably the entire Supercharging team and the executive responsible for negotiating NACS adoption across the industry.

Great! Just as the industry starts to shift to NACS, Tesla might stop bothering to expand?
We really need the other networks to step up.

The Mainstream Room / Re: 3-Kid Family Hauler - Sugg...
Last post by Morris Minor - May 01, 2024, 02:07:12 PMGrand Highlander is good and I suppose has a bit more ground clearance for mounting the curb outside the daycare center but, in all other practical terms, is worse than a minivan. If you have little kids, row 2 & 3 seat pitch is the most important measure, closely followed by load height for getting strollers into the trunk well. Minivans win on these counts. Sliding doors are the cherry on the cake.

Last post by MrH - May 01, 2024, 06:45:52 AMEquity when you have a fraud at the helm pumping the stock constantly is a hell of an incentive. It cuts both ways though. When it performs poorly, the compensation packages look really rough.

Last post by veeman - April 30, 2024, 10:13:35 PMYeah I don't see why any of the "best and brightest" would ever want to work for him. Reward excellence by being laid off all the while he demands a 56 billion pay package.

Ford is grappling with what CEO Jim Farley called "a huge drag not just on Ford, but on our whole industry": electric vehicle production.
