I do't get excited over luxo wagons as a rule, but I think the clean unfussy design of the new Range Rover is masterful. I would love to have one, not too big, not too flashy. I think I would delete the vertical bar on the fender flank. But otherwise I love the design.

It's very...smooth. Almost looks like a render of a car of the future from decades ago.

It's impossible to argue with Raza. He wins. Period. End of discussion.

It doesn't seem to have enough separation between the tire and wheel well for a "go anywhere" SUV.

Agreed, that color & wheel combo is for the boulevard-cruising oil sheik market.

Being a Range Rover, it likely has height-adjustable air suspension to lift 'er up a bit when more clearance is needed.

I'm surprised British Leyland's management allowed Range Rovers to go forward. Going above mediocre went against every managerial instinct.
The second generation (P38A [1994]) was pretty horrible so maybe they had a hand in that.

Between BMW, Ford and finally Tata, it seems that Land Rover products have emerged from mediocrity to something rather special.  Same with Jaguar.

My perception is skewed by having just come off renting a quad-pipe monster chrome-laden Tahoe.

Well then, might you consider a reserved Rolls Royce phantom for your next car?
