Congrats!
Sorry for being terrible on updates, I tried to post pictures and it was just too tedious - so I gave up. But today I cleaned it, so I’ll post some.
Couple months ago before I scraped the front lip

After a nice wash today (they have a guy come by at work twice a month, and he cleans the cars)

M235i (all 235i's are Msports) so Turbo 6 with all the nice goodies like Adaptive Supension, 4 Piston Brembo Brakes and 6 speed manual

Nice! Congrats. I'm digging the rims.
If you don't mind me asking, how much is the M235 going for in the used market?

If you want a manual, you'll pay a premium for one. Autos can be had for mid to high 20s.
That seems... suspiciously inexpensive? Does the engine explode when the odometer hits 50,000?

These cars weren't that expensive when new tho. A new 235i would be around $42k ish. A used one that's several years old? 25k ish sounds about right.
Yea they are solid values
Char you did well

It's not bad for what you get. I does feel...cheaper? Than the E92 did. I think mine was about 28K OTD, you could have gotten an Auto (which is REALLY good) for 25k+. I've seen M2's in the low 40s, but that 600-700/mo for a car is....tough to swallow.

Appreciate it.
And if you all haven't noticed, it's not stock. I'll hopefully be doing my first track day (outside that M driving event 2 years ago) in a few weeks.
Looks great, though I'd be extra careful going over speed bumps. The rims are really nice.

Thank you. I like them, but they aren't wide enough. The plan is to upgrade to Apex FL5s (or at least have them as track wheels)

Excellent. Take it easy on that track day, at least initially.

I plan on it. It's a 'Track Night' event, I'll get pictures if I can. I'm planning on changing the brake fluid prior to the event, and I a new helmet and all that jazz. I'll be running Sport mode first, and then move to DSC off when (if) I feel more comfortable.

Get track insurance- sporty's story still scares me
Wait, what happened?
All I remember is he tracked his DD (G37), put it into a wall and didn't have track insurance so it wasn't covered or something? I'll let him tell the story- that could be inaccurate
He then went into shock and bought a Kia Optima in a fugue state. That part of the story cured me from wanting to track my DD.
Now way?! Serious?
100% serious
IF they have track insurance, get it. If it's an SCCA Track Night they should have something through Hagerty
Hoping to get back some day
Sporty, whatever became of the G37?

They do - $155ish. I'll be purchasing
That is WILD.
Sick lookin ride, man, goddamn.
How does that work with the whole car washing at work thing? What do you pay? How many cars does he do?

Some dude bought it... said he knew someone who could fix it. I didn't ask questions, just took the money.

Your car has intermediate "DTC" mode for the stability control. I recommend staying at that level until you are truly at ease.
To fully disable DSC you need to hold the button for several seconds.

Ha ha. But track day accidents are really quite rare in my experience. (Knocks on wood)
I am on a plane to Mexico City to take the GT4 tomorrow to a TD. It's been a while since I went six months or more.

Man I want FL-5s for my car. Congrats!
I missed you all, what's up?
Damn... I forgot all about you getting that thing. Still love it
Maaaaannnnnn - I love this car and I don't all at the same time. Interior quality is a step down from my E92, the headliner fell despite it being in my garage, and the screen is delaminating.
But it's fast.
The Motor isn't as smooth as the N52
But it's fast.
The wheel offsets are goofy and make it difficult to fit wide wheels.
But it's fast.
How do I add pictures?

378WHP SAE in the "comfort" map instead of "sport"
I went back again for a dyno tune - larger diameter exhaust, Cam "lifters" Race intercooler, Front Mount intake - and my injector failed. Herp derp.
