This could be very easy since the building is quite famous but it may be hard since it is made up of a mixture of different architectural styles.  One gets an idea how a future archaeologist who digs up Las Vegas must feel.

I have no idea, but damn!  That building is incredible!  It's amazing how they could build such things hundreds of years ago!  (assuming that is, in fact, a building of long ago)  Funny how all we can do today is build tall rectangles with shiny glass.

Because the Taj Mahal is pure white on the outside. Also, disrespecting of religious and spiritual places is not taken well here. ;)

To me the architecture looks Indian but the people sculpted into it don't. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Kathmandu.

You have to give yourself more credit. You have zeroed in on the correct culture and the correct city in fact.    Which is why I wanted to be a bit more hesitant with hints.

It is not the New Dehlhi Mc Donalds however.

Correct the Taj Mahal is mostly made of marble, while this is sandstone.

Very good. The carvings are odd for the type of? building, much to life like.

Akshardam temple in New Delhi.
And it aint hundreds of years old...more like 1 year old

But those sculptors had to be skillful....all that stuff was sculpted by hand.

I mentally  noted the color difference and attributed it to lighting.
