While the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been thoroughly spied both inside and out, this is by far the best look we've had at its appearance.
That sharp front end does a good job of reminding us about the A-Class Sedan concept. In fact, the headlights are almost spot on, and all that's missing is the Panamericana grille and wider fenders.
Also, it appears that Mercedes was out testing these two lightly-covered prototypes against a VW, which may not be a direct rival, but as far as compact hatchbacks go, the Golf is to be respected.
Speaking of compact dimensions, the new A-Class won't be much larger than the current/outgoing model, yet its larger wheelbase will allow for more room in the rear. We can also see that unlike the old model, the new A-Class will feature a larger trunk opening as well, making it easier for you to load voluminous objects.
As for the interior, these images unfortunately don't share anything we hadn't previously seen. The thick-rimmed steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, circular air vents, they're all there to remind us of larger models like the E-Class and S-Class.
Pumping blood into the all-new A-Class' lightweight MFA2 architecture should be a wide range of three-cylinder as well as powerful four-cylinder units. Speed enthusiasts can look forward to an A40 AMG model with around 340 horses, as well as a new A45 AMG, putting down over 400 HP.
Rumor has it, Mercedes could debut the car at next year's Geneva Motor Show, although we wouldn't put it past them to unveil it digitally way sooner than that.

front end looks like they used an Impreza for inspiration.
Alright, so when did you start working for carscoops?
Looks like all the other cars of that size/style. Could be any badge under there.

It's getting ridiculous. And you would think he would go for a bigger forum. There are what, like 15 people here  How many clicks is all this spamming netting them

What's the problem with posting news from CarScoops?
Prior to the demise of Autoblog I was posting news from them here and nobody complained...
You post a lot of very annoying news snippits

Why? This is a car forum. Posting spy shots of new cars is something you do on a car forum.

We don't need updates on economy cars in Brazil or spy shots of an X2. There has to be some kind of significance or interesting angle for news to be posted. You look at a lot of Wimmer's CarScoops' posts, many of them can barely get more than like 4 replies. Thats an indication that people aren't interested. It feels like spam.

Dude, we barely talk about cars on this forum. Leave him alone. Let him post all the spy shots he wants.

This isn't Instagram. Nobody cares how many likes anyone is getting.

I don't think that's a bad thing. Looks like the Impreza and X1 had a kid. For this segment, I think it looks pretty good and will bring MB out of the doldrums. That interior, though... vents look like they're from a '90s Jeep.

I like them.
It's not as if other lively threads are being pushed off of the front page to make room for Wimmer's posts. And it's not as if Chris is getting paid to post. If he is, he really ought to find a better place to do so than a forum with +/- 50 active members
