Title: Lexus RX-L
Post by: 2o6 on November 30, 2017, 12:12:01 PM
Hi, this will print money.

Also, Toyota/Lexus has the worst photographers out, these photos look like trash. The RX is a very striking car in person, and this extra length looks pretty well integrated.

Yea, Highlander resemblance is quite high

It's what the people want. About a decade overdue

Did the designer sneeze when he got to the rear 3/4ths?

The long front and rear overhangs look just as bad as they do on the SWB RX, and I'm guessing rear visibility is as atrocious as it looks.

Rear visibility doesn't matter so much.  The car will have a backup camera and surround vision will either be standard or an option.  The latest backup cameras are amazing, even in the dark.

The styling is very blah, particularly the rear view.  The Acura MDX has been underwhelming but I would much rather have a Volvo XC90 than this.  It'll sell well but it's a weak sauce attempt.

Ugly sells, based on how pretty much every car now is ugly.

And the Highlander offers the benefit of some windows to let 3rd row passengers see some of the scenery.

NO cargo space in the back.

Most buyers of these usually only drive 1-4 people but they like the option if the grandkids come visiting to throw people in the back.
