It looks better in live photos than studio shots. It's got a lot of visual heft in the profile, but I don't hate it.

Love the front, boring from the side, rear is ok. Interior looks cheap, and it now has a CVT? Ugh. Hopefully there's still a manual option.
I like that it looks clean without a lot of unnecessary creases and dents. The front looks nice, but the still need to do some work on the grille. The bottom tooth is a distraction that cheapens it.
I wanted to see the hatch until the Veloster N news came out. That wheel gap is sad.

Not in love with it. That's for sure.
Not a fan of the inlets/ducting under the turn signals. Seems a little aggressive and out of place relative to the rest of the design. Otherwise, not bad. Not a supermodel, but not ugly. Inoffensive.
I think it looks great, especially from the rear. Clean and classy. And I appreciate that the top-level wheels (which is what I assume we're seeing?) don't look ridiculous.
Blah. But at least it's better than the new Jetta.
