Looks like it's Cherokee based, but it's a 7-seat CUV currently for China. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it made it to the US.

That looks so much better than most of their other vehicles here.
I actually like it. Has presence like the Durango Citadel.
Looks like in 2020 we'll get versions called Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Most likely Escalade and Navigator competitors.

Yea, I'm not mad at it.
I think it's more Journey sized, tho
It's too boxy yet saggy.

Is the Journey still in production?

It pretty much is a Durango.
Last I heard in the next generation, the Durango is going.to focus more on sport and this Jeep varient more on utility

This car is FWD based. It's a long Cherokee.

Not saying your wrong... But...
It makes no sense to lengthen a compact SUV chassis to stretch it to 3 rows and then graft on a Grand Cherokee front end instead of the Cherokee and then transversely mount the new longitudinal 4 banger from the Wrangler when they already have a stretched Grand Cherokee chassis...
FCA

FCA has only like three platforms. This widened Fiat Bravo, and whatever the GC/Durango uses.

And the LX. For now...

Also the 500 platform and the Renegade and the rewarmed GM platform for the subcompacts

Would it be any more off-road worthy than the new Subaru Ascent? Just wondering. The Subaru is also very derivative but looks better.
I kinda don't think this is gonna be an Escalade/Navigator competitor.
Jeep. The All American Brand.

Really depends on what AWD system they put in it

This car is way smaller than the Durango. It's probably close to the same size as the Grand Cherokee in length, but smaller in every other dimension.

Looks Durango sized to me, if the passenger is any indication.
Grand Commander, eh?
I think I'll hold out for the Supreme Ultra General.
Really attractive, but sadly it doesn't sound like it's got the right platform for all that "Grand"-ness.
