Good God, what have we done.
I think the proportions are ok.
I despise the rear, and the interior doesn't look very good. It doesn't look cheap or ill made, just no more special or interesting than a Honda Civic.
The XC40 is it's direct competitor is a better car.
What is the red car?
That dash is unacceptable.
At least looks wise, Lincoln should have this in the bag.

They sullied the Eclipse nearly 20 years ago when they dropped the 4G63T and AWD and added ribbed body cladding that made a Grand Am look restrained.
I like the interior. It's honestly the first properly youthful Cadillac.

That's lovely. When are they going to bring back the 3000GT seven passenger electric city runabout?

Agreed.
They mentioned in the press release that they are going to copy BMW/Merc luxury/premium/sport lines that will have different grills/trim etc
So I'm fully expecting this to be the sport trim and the luxury/premium luxury will have more

It looks like it has black chrome trim around the windows, so that could be true.

I mean, they can do crossovers...but do them poorly. He isn't exactly wrong in critiquing this...it looks like a econocar.

That...is disgusting. Why would you leave an edge like that...cleanliness nightmare, just sayin. I mean, I guess it's job security, but Jesus Christ I haven't seen shit that bad since the old Buick Centuries. Old people are helpless to that dust line.
The edge on the screen? It's possible that it rotates up out the the dash for a better viewing angle like some recent JLR products.
Exterior does not look bad for an SUV...CUV...XUV...SAV...XXV...XWV... or whatever this thing is.
Still. A real Cadillac will always be this.

The lip at the bottom.
I would have guessed it was a crappy Chinese car from the inside

Now that's a Caddy!!!!
I seriously wonder if I am looking at the same thing as you guys.
Its an awkward angle, but the interior looks fairly standard. Certainly not any worse than my own car, which I think looks OK.
I guess I would be curious to see it either in normal pictures or in person, maybe I am missing something. Or maybe I just have low standards on interiors.

Yeah it looks like a bad pic.
Auto show lighting with a cellphone and flash. I don't really understand the issue either.

+1
It's just super washed-out because of the lighting. The black leather expanse is a bit bland, but it'd look way better with normal light that doesn't make it looks like the polyurethane foam dash in my old Saturn.
The dash is playdough and the screen was plopped on top of it. There's no design integration at all. And the black bezels on the screen look terrible.
The pictures on Netcarshow.com aren't much more flattering.

I'd take a Model 3 over this.

I think the reason for that is the same reason VW added an edge in the new Touareg.

To rest ones hands when operating the touch panel.

I'm sure it will sell, and it was the right thing to do... but the back half is hideous. They didn't have to do that.
