I didn't include the Euro Type R of the new model or the 1998 JDM-only Type R hatchback. If you really like them that much, say so, but we don't have them here so fuggedabouddit.
I personally like the 6th gen (1998) and the 2nd gen CRX the best. I haven't figured out which I'm going to vote for yet.
CRX Si, then 98, then bread van.
I used to drive a 1991 4th gen Civic. Without power steering, I absolutely loved it. I voted 1998-91 CRX Si because it's lighter than the hatch, gets well over 30 mpg, and is just plain cool.
'88 Civic Si no doubt.
Totally fun to drive, effecient, roomy, comfortable, reliable, blah, blah, blah...
I had a '90 non Si hatch, and I can only imagine how many more autocrosses I could have won if it had the Si motor in it.
I voted for the new one. Its not pretty but i've heard its a hoot to drive.
CRX Si, then the new Si. I'll vote new, just to spice things up.
07', then 98', then the Bread van.
I voted new one, I am not a fan of any civic, But I have heard its awesome to drive! Otherwise I'll pass.
CRX Si.
I voted for the for the '98, per your descriptions. Though, the EK Civic Si was actually produced in 1999 and 2000 only. It's a great car, and I want one.
Had to go with the Bread Van. I love that car.
'88 CRX
1999 Si :praise:

EP3 (bread van).
IMO, the most underrated of them all.
Breadvan, I like hatches!
While I really like the "breadvan" (I agree with SLoB, absolutely underrated), my favorite is late 80s CRX Si. I would take one of those bone stock any day. I also like the new car.
'98 for me.
