So I took the 300ZX for a drive finally, after I did all that suspension stuff to it, I believe I talked about that in the Z thread.

The rear end makes a lot of noise, like straight cut gearbox levels of noise. Sure it sounds cool, but I guess I have to take the differential out and adjust it. That's going to set me back anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 months, depending on my productivity level.

I do want to get the exo frame painted before winter so I can move it out of the "booth" side and be able to start to move some things(subframes, I'm probably just going to buy new V8 roadster tubular F/R subs and control arms) onto the exo chassis.

So, like a whole year and all we get is that you took your Z out for a ride.

MrH is not going to be happy :frown:

FlatBlackCaddy

No, not just a ride. I took pictures of it too.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

You mean like what color?

I'm thinking of a semi gloss silver or very light goldish color. I think a light gold metallic would go well with a few different body panel colors.

I completely assembled the car, to test fit, and now have completely disassembled it to paint the frame.

...but why? :wtf:

Would you commit the time/effort/money to painting something if you weren't certain it would all go together?

I wish you the best in assembling this vehicle. If I lived closer, and you had some good beer, I would assist.  :ohyeah: And maybe a road test.  :muffin:

It's good though, gives me time to finish the things I never got around too on the 300ZX/GTR/Miata/Esprit.
