I usually hate red cars, but actually like the soul red on the soft top. Something looks funky on the soul red RF though.

Get a launch edition one! Something different and a little special. Really cool color and interior color too.

Soul Red sounds like a Pokémon game. I'm reading your post, thinking "Yeah, I'd play that."

It's impossible to argue with Raza. He wins. Period. End of discussion.

Going to pull the trigger on this guy. My S-plan, it does nothing - the price quoted on the website is the same!

How is the weather in Seattle right now? Like is there any benefit to buying now over waiting for a while?

I wonder if you could get it a bit cheaper once they sit on the lots for a while. Tave is getting $3500 off his ND which is nuts.

Weather is like 40-50 degrees. It seems to me that the RF is pretty supply constrained, at least for a while. They are impossible to get in WA/OR, and the dealers in CA are being bitches. I've noticed that dealers in the midst of a brutal winter are more willing to do business. If I wait a few months, I'm guessing the demand in those states will "thaw"?

Hence the question how much you'd be able to enjoy it in current weather. If you wait a bit for supply to catch up and hype to die down you can get a good deal on one locally?

Then again, I'm not one to make good financial decisions or wait to save money. Just do it.

There'll be no deals in the spring. Do it now.

What about timing the sale of the G37? I'm thinking about parking it at my parents' garage and giving them a few hundred bucks for "rent", then selling it once the weather improves.

That'd be my only hesitation. But if he's got the money it probably doesn't matter. Price difference (if there is any) may be less than a monthly payment.

Yeah, now's a good time to buy a supply-constrained convertible.  Trying to get your hands on one that you really want come spring would probably be a PITA.  If you have the money, do it, who cares if there's one for $1k less a few months from now?  You won't be looking then because you'll be driving!

Ugh, no. Waste of money and it could do more harm than good. Plus it'll probably look like shit after a few seasons.

Stick with a good polish/protectant.

This is good enough for Versa S, so it has to be good enough for MiatArf

It actually works really well. I wish I'd had it on my G what this its dark color and all the gravel road and mountain pass driving I do. It'll also protect headlights which is a big deal. Any new(ish) car I get in the future will have it or get it.

I also never believed in seasonal timing of the auto market. Just sell the G locally. If nothing else you'll have to pay insurance if you park it, even if it's just comprehensive, and if it sits for any real length of time you'll have maintenance costs (esp. new fluids).

If it's a matter of waiting 1-2 months the cost of waiting shouldn't be very high?

I think all new RFs have the updated transmission, but I'd check the VIN just to be sure
