What options would have you running to the dealer?

MrH

Is there anything that an OEM could release now that would have you drive straight to a dealership to try out?  A few ideas that came to mind for me:

- 2018 Accord w/ 2.0 Turbo + stick + AWD + fully loaded.  I'd get there even faster if they offered it as a wagon too.
- ND Miata with the new HCCI engine and Winning Blue color
- Current Outback with the fully loaded 3.6 H6 + manual.  Also, the 2.0T from the WRX + manual in the Outback would work too.
- Current 4Runner + Manual
- Current 4Runner but with a V8 and an automatic with 6+ gears.
- STI with a new turbo motor based off the WRX.  Bonus points if they offered it as a hatch again.

Bring back the inexpensive coupes, and I'm not talking "4-door coupes".

Us empty nesters still like our 2 doors.

Lebowski

6th gen 4Runner, assuming implemented right.

Have said before, wish Toyota had a smaller SUV that was not as girly as the rav4, not as cheesy as the FJ.

Anything AWD + manual + wagon (not a hatch) would have me checking it out ASAP.

A3 Quattro with a manual transmission.  Even better if a hatch.
Mazdaspeed2 hatchback.  Hell, even a Mazda2 hatch (if cheap enough, would make an enticing 2nd/winter car)
Mazda3 or Mazda6 2-door coupe (bring back the MX3 and/or MX6!)

Xer0

-Current Civic Si sedan with a K24 pumping out like 225/230hp.
-Current model 230i but as a Gran Coupe with a 6-spd.
-A hypothetical Fit Si with the 1.5L turbo.
-A Mustang GT350 like package for the V6.  Call it the GT250 and give it like 365 hp to go head to head with the V6 1LE.
-An SLK45AMG that is fitted with the CLA/GLA's engine and a 6spd.

12,000 RPM

Hell, there is stuff I want to try now. Auto GTI & 340i are pretty compelling dailies

But as far as shit that doesn't exist yet:

- BRZ with a ~220HP 2.5L
- I like the Fit 1.5T idea. Regular Fit was shockingly good.
- ILX based on the new Civic with the 2.0T, 9DCT and SH-AWD
- Golf R with a ~330HP 3.6L VR6
- New Charger built off the Giulia platform w/an aluminum V8
- Murano with the Maxima's 300HP engine and a stiffer suspension
- MKC (Escape clone) with the 2.7EB
- F150 Lightning :erjerbs:

As for some of the previously mentioned ideas:

- HCCI Miata- yes... matter of fact, any HCCI Mazda period, though I think they need some more gears in their AT
- 2 Gran Coupe would be nice but I already drove my buddy's 2.

Cars sold in Puerto Rico have to meet U.S. certifications, so I would assume so.

I'm assuming in California, it would have to have at least 7500 miles on it. That's what's required for any other vehicle that's only 48 state compliant

Yeah, basically an '03-'09 Outback XT.

I've been very tempted to price out a Crosstrek many times, but it's just not enough space.

Scion/Toyota Yaris iA was federalized under the Mazda 2 moniker, so it's good to go.

In all seriousness, if GM put the new 1.5T in the Sonic, and turned up the boost to at least 180HP - I would buy one. I've always thought the Sonic was a sharper and better platform than the Fiesta.
