Let's just cut to the good stuff:

C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.5 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.6 sec
Zero to 120 mph: 20.9 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 6.1 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.4 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 4.4 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.1 sec @ 102 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 126 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 170 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad*: 0.88 g

*stability-control-inhibited

Here is a random G for comparison

C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.3 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.3 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 24.7 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 5.7 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.9 sec @ 102 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 148 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 175 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.83 g

JFC!!! Still hideous and huge, but man I hope this engine lands in the next ILX/RDX

This is the top trim touring too.  Presumably, the lighter lower spec car will be faster.  There also an interesting Si on all seasons test where it's significantly slower vs summer tires.  I'd assume this accord will also see meaningful gains on summer tires.

It's relatively light at 3419lb as well. You are right, cheapo version with good tires will rip and grip, probably dipping comfortably into the 13s. Plus keep in mind this is on regular fuel...

Why am I reading the article in my paper version of the magazine and the 0-60 time is 6.1 sec and 1/4 mile of 14.7@98mph

I'm thinking your printed copy isn't the same article?  Is the car in the printed copy the 6MT model, by chance?

I had a quick drive the other day — very impressive, at least based on initial impressions. There was a lively spark in that car that's missing even from the Mazda6.
