Title: 20yr old bits....
Post by: VTEC_Inside on November 24, 2008, 11:46:05 AM
Accord is nearing a couple milestones, though not without protest.

Its developed a small fuel leak just after the fuel filter out back. The fuel in the line after the filter to up front is dripping out at a really slow rate when the car is parked. Not a huge deal but shitty weather to be fixing it in my driveway.

Two other lines connected to the "two-way" valve have corroded to nothing, but no fuel leak from them.

I do believe this is the first time I've been happy about the car being carbureted when doing a repair. Working fuel pressure is only 3-4psi :)

I've already picked up a length of metal tube to replace the rotted bit with. Probably going to put off fixing it until the weekend unless I all of sudden get in the mood. Supposed to be above freezing all week which is good because I wont have to subject the RSX to much salt.

5/16" brake line cut, bent, and zip-tied to the original line :)

Move the hoses over, installed new clamps, and no more leaks, yay me!

Nothing like a quick repair job...
