Title: Pick 5
Post by: SVT666 on January 05, 2016, 05:48:53 PM
Pick 5 cars to fill your wants and needs for your household.  Here are the criteria:

1. Price no object
2. New or used
3. No two cars can be from the same class (unless 1 is more than 10 years old).  For example: 2005 BMW M3 and a 2016 Jag XFR, but not a 2007 M3 and a 2016 Jag XFR

I love these what if scenarios for some reason. Not sure what you mean by same class, but I'll give it a shot:

- Lexus LX570
- ND Miata
- 911 GT3 RS
- Audi R8 V10
- BAC Mono

- ITB J35 Ariel Atom - I can dig it.
- Macan Turbo - Nice enough as a DD or a tow vehicle for the bikes
- 997 Carrera S 4.0 6MT - I thought only the GT3 RS came with the 4.0?
- Honda RC213V-RS (w/Euro track tune) - Overpriced, but I guess price is no limit...
- SV1000N w/1.2L kit and Ohlins/Brembo/Marchensini mag wheels for the street. - Bro why. There are so many better choices out there...

Ready to field questions.

If we're allowed to choose bikes, I dunno what I'd kick off my list. I guess kick off the Chevy SS for a Honda Africa Twin in the white/gold Euro only color.

I think I win for the cheapest list. All of those vehicles are very obtainable. :praise:

EDIT: are we allowed to keep what we have already? I don't want to give up the Miata or FJ-09.

OK, if the Gt500 isn't available,  I'm replacing it with a primer gray '68 Firebird with a strongly built Pontiac 400, T10 Rock Crusher 4 speed, 4:11 rear end and a peace sign decal on the back window. And maybe a Hendrix tape in the 8-track. Plus a bag of Mexican dirt weed under the seat.

I would get the 911's engine bored out....

RC213V would cover a track bike.... for a street bike I want something with brum that's unique. I guess the Tuono V4R could work but that's not unique enough for me. Duc Monsters/Streetfighters are cool but a little too long and slow steering, and the superbikes don't like street riding even if I fixed the ergos. SV would be cool man. ~140WHP with hella torque; I'd get a titanium frame & carbon fiber tank/subframe/seat made, magnesium wheels, titanium exhaust... it would prob weigh like 370lbs wet and be a beast. Just something different but still streetable. I am all about keeping street vehicles street friendly.

Changed my mind. Newer cars suck.

1. 1978 Mazda RX-7, total race car track slut. 20B, rack n pinion, many sets of tires and brake pads.

2. 1940ish Ford Coupe, total restomod underneath, but stock-loooking with whitewalls. Carbon fiber body, aluminum frame, 4G63T/AWD/6spd manual, A/C, FM radio, etc. For picking up chicks.

3. Ram SRT-10, club cab with a manual tranny, two speed rear end and a nice trailer brake controller. For the RX7 to ride on.

4. 1964.5 Ford Mustang, all original, whatever the rarest color and engine combo is, or maybe #1. Then I'd rattle can one body panel flat black  and swap in a 350 Olds diesel engine hooked to a CVT. For trolling.

5. Still want a Lotus 7 replica that I build from junk Miata parts. For fun.

Sunshine car:        V6 F-Type or a Boxster GTS
