Do you guys have any opinions on these? The two-year-old battery in my sheltered-in-place G37 does not get much use. Plus, now I'm retired, there's no commute so it's no longer a daily driver.
I'm specifically looking at the MXS 5.0 touted in the video here.

I disconnected Fiesta's battery for a few months at a time over a period of a year. I just periodically hooked it up and ran it for 30 min. It is perfectly fine.
There is nothing wrong with trickle charging, though.

I think good old fashioned non-smart battery chargers are perfectly fine.

But you can get a "smart" trickle charger on Amazon for like $20. I got a Black&Decker for $12.
Yeah I don't see the need to spend $100+ on a trickle charger.
The Optima ones can bring a dead battery back to life pretty well, but for normal trickle charging it's not necessary.
I'd just go for a Sunday drive.
