China makes a lot of compelling small EVs that are selling like gangbusters especially in developing countries. Here's an example of what I'm talking about, the Haomao (Good Cat):

I have wanted a VW ID.3 since they announced it. If they sold it in the US I would 100% be driving it today. RWD, small hatchback, electric: Basically perfect.
