Sometimes I think about just taking off.

I mean, take social security (I qualify) and my share of the equity in the house, buy something like this:

And just take off. Fuck it. Maybe Alaska, by way of Alabama and Boston.

Ya, it's an old truck, but i could keep it running. Factory air, 327 V8 (COPO), Alaskan pop up camper...Oh, ya. This truck as equipped cost over 6 grand in 1964- that was a pile of cash back then.

I'd probably go for a van with a 4x4 conversion, but I like the idea.

I would go with an 88 GMC K1500 4.3 and a travel trailer.

Or, at the very least, topside clearance.  Not goin' through the drive-thru with that sum'bish.  And have fun breakin' tree branches everywhere you go.

True, but that's gonna be an issue with most things that are tall enough to actually stand up in (not counting pop-ups).

CaminoRacer

I'd love to get a 4x4 Sprinter van and drive to Alaska through Canada.

And after that, I'd drive down the Baja peninsula.

I am a city boi. The closest I'd come to this is sleeping in the back of a minivan in a Walmart parking lot.

There's a girl from my town who's like 3-4 years younger than me that tried the whole YouTube living on a boat and then in a van thing...

That Kimbo thing is pretty cool. Kind of like a semi truck sleeper except idling won't keep it warm in the winter or cool in the summer.
