I find that a pair of stick-on convex mirrors makes for easy placement when parking: they allow you to "look down" at the lines and get your vehicle perfectly centrally parked every time.  They're also great for their stated purpose: eliminating blind spots.

My wife really liked those that came pre-glued on our Caravan. I wasn't much of a fan but they did help with the blindspot thing.

Hey, that's a great idea!

How 'bout we print some fake parking tickets saying:  Congratulations! Your incompetent parking skills have earned you a place in the Official CarSPIN Bad Parking Hall of Shame for all the world to see at www.carspin.net ?  Maybe we can make some similar tickets for the cars featured in the Rice Thread?

What say all of you?  Good idea or not?

I've always been hesitant to get those things, but I just might.  Might help my parallel parking game.

Hey I know a guy that works at a printing shop, I should see if he can make some of these for me.

Already posted.  I was sorting through some old pics and discovered I hadn't posted the Silverado with the trailer.

Here it is again anyway.  Note trailer in background of first pic.

Ahh, didn't see it..  at least it's an empty parking lot.  It's even more frustrating when the parking lot is full.

Secret Chimp

I don't really care if trucks with trailers park funny so long as there are other spaces in the lot. It's probably a wise move to keep people from parking too close to you and not leaving enough clearance to swing the trailer around without hitting anything.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

Rupert

Yeah, I when I have a trailer, I park like a jackass so I don't clip anyone on the way out. A while ago, I had the longest 2500 Dodge makes with an 18'x6-8' trailer parked lengthwise across, like, five or six spaces.

I also don't really care about crappy parking jobs if there are plenty of other spaces available. If it's the fault of some jackass who doesn't understand lines and courtesy that I have to drive around for another five minutes, then I get pissed.

No offense, but there aren't any lines, so you can't really give them too much shit.  Plus, it's possible that they were there before the car to the left of them and it's actually the car on the left that is parked shittily.  (obviously, I can't see if there's another car further left, but yeah.)

Actually there are lines that clearly mark the parking spaces. Problem is they're only visible in great weather as they're a lightly darker shade of the gray concrete. In my opinion they should have just been painted over in white so everyone can see them (or red - a popular color for parking space markers here).

That's because the parking lane lines are literally colored in the same color as the concrete.

It's hard to distinguish them on a good day, it's impossible to even see them at all on a day with crap weather like on the day I took this photo.

There are actually some moronic motorcyclists here that would park their bike in the middle of such a parking spot.

You can actually park them on a sidewalk "legally" here. Cops won't do shit about that, but no, they need to take away a valuable parking space from a car!
