It had the UGLIEST spoiler right below the rear window. Absolutely awful!

In Europe pretty much 8 out of 10 W124s looked like that with the plastic hubcaps - UNSPECTACULAR.

Truth be told, I actually kind of liked them. 

But, a W124 E500 on 18" monoblocks will always be my favorite W124.

It looked like a prototype to me. The VW badge was blackened and currently VW has software problems on the ID3 which need awhile to be solved. I read an article where some testers were driving an ID3 and suddenly the software told them to visit a shop because the car needed an "oil change".

Sorry for the crap photos but the new Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG was behind me today. Couldn't get decent pics of it. When I first saw it in my mirror I thought it was an AMG GT Sedan (they look similar at first glance). Looks gorgeous in white with Night Package!

The last photo is the best. The car was behind me and I simply activated my rear parking camera to sneak this shot!

Me too.  They're probably selling only a handful in the entire country.  Much less the AMG version.

Yes, a 356C.  1600 would be the displacement, and the base model for the later years: the others being tagged "1600S," or "Carrera" (which was the 4-cam).
